Released in June 2001, Anarchy Online has become one of the top MMORPGs to-date, after having some technical difficulties early on. It features a free-to-play or “froob” option or you can purchase the expansions (Shadowlands, Alien Invasion, Lost Eden and Legacy of Xan) which offer a heap more worlds to explore, as well as better items and buffs. There are 14 different professions to choose from as well as 4 different breeds.

The gameplay is difficult to master and could take you years to fully explore the whole game and reach the maximum level of 220. Although the game still suffers from “Lag” a little bit and has inferior graphics compared to some of the new releases MMOs, it still is highly immersive and addictive. This game could seriously effect your life if you are not careful!

Note: This game is free to play, or you can become a subscriber, and receive expansions such as Shadowlands, Alien Invasion and Lost Eden. Also Xan expansion is available with a one-time fee.
